A few days following his tragic car crash in Malibu, cops are looking into the reason behind Kevin Hart’s accident. As of right now, cops believe the driver was reportedly peeling out.

According to TMZ, a witness states that the driver, who is also Hart’s friend, Jared Black, was peeling out moments before the accident. The witness recalled hearing tires screeching, which was shortly followed by the sound of a car crashing through a fence. During the time of the crash, Hart was sitting in the passenger seat and Black’s fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, was also in the vehicle.

Although Hart left the scene of the crime to go home, he was later brought to the hospital for severe back injuries. Yesterday (Sept. 2), Hart’s wife, Eniko Hart, said that her husband is going to be just fine following his surgery.

After the news hit the media, many members of the hip-hop community shared uplifting messages towards the comedian. REVOLT TV’s Chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Sending some love and light to my brother @kevinhart4real, we are all praying for you and your family,” Diddy wrote.

In addition to Diddy, T.I. also offered some words of encouragement. “Aight now Hurry up & Shake tf back ASAP big bro so we can laugh about this s–t…. It’s a lotta love & genuine respect out here for you. You mean so much to so many!!! My family’s thoughts and prayers are with you & all of yours!!!! @kevinhart4real,” his caption reads.

In the past, the Soul Plane actor has been very vocal about his love for cars. Back in December of 2018, Hart gifted his entire team classic vehicles to celebrate the success of his “Irresponsible Tour.” Hart said, “I mean it when I say I love my team, I would not be where I am or who I am today if it wasn’t for my team. We’re celebrating, and I love the fact that they’re gone. They’re blown away, and for me, that’s all I needed, nothing else.”
