For Vogue Arabia‘s September issue, Kim Kardashian West graces the cover. This time around, Kardashian was interviewed by her husband, Kanye West.

Keeping things refreshing, West asks his wife a variety of questions that were based on misconceptions, fame, work, style and the first time they met. “Maybe you underestimate how other people see you. I think other people are expecting someone else,” West says to his wife.

During her response, Kardashian explains the significance of misconception. In the past, the mother-of-four has been very vocal about her focus on law school and her continuous efforts with criminal justice. Despite the opinions of some naysayers, the reality star states that she has to work just as hard as anyone else and doesn’t believe in short cuts.

“But misconception… For example, my mind is so focused right now on law school,” Kardashian says. “There is a misconception that I don’t actually have to study and I that I’ve bought my way into getting a law degree – that’s absolutely not true. I have to put in just as much work as everybody else, the same number of hours that are required by law, and I have to write essays, take tests, and actually pass them. There are no short cuts; there is no easy way out.”

On a lighter note, West asks his wife about her initial thoughts on their first meeting. The SKIMS shapewear creator explains that although she was in awe of West, the Chicago rapper misunderstood her relationship with singer Brandy.

“This was before you released your first album and you were known as a music producer,” Kardashian replies. “I was really shy. You thought I was Brandy’s assistant, which I wasn’t. Ever since you said that, it’s everywhere… like ‘Kim is Brandy’s assistant.’ I was her friend and stylist. [laughs]. I thought you were attractive, nice, very charming, really funny, powerful – I was in awe of you, but I was really shy, quiet, and a little nervous, to be honest.”

More recently, Kardashian shared a photo of what appears to be a tracklist for a possible Kanye West project.
