Over the weekend, Rihanna clarified that there is not a Megan Thee Stallion collaboration in the works, at least for now.

After a Fenty fan account reached out to Rihanna on Friday (Aug. 30) regarding a potential collab, Riri stated that it’s only a rumor. “WHATS DIS HUNNY,” the fan wrote in Rihanna’s messages to which Rihanna replied, “A Lie.”

Although Rihanna states that it’s not in the works right now, there’s no telling what the future holds. Megan seems as if she’s down to collaborate with powerful females in the music industry. More recently, the Houston native teamed up with Nicki Minaj for a summer banger, “Hot Girl Summer.” The single has already become the first female rap collab to go No. 1 on iTunes USA. In addition to that, Megan has also stated that she is open to working with Cardi B.

“It’s really like a lot of the fans. They really make it seem like you’re picking sides,” Megan said while addressing the infamous beef between Minaj and the Bronx spitter. “I really, really, really like both of them. They’re two different people, two different rappers. It’s not even the same. I feel like we need to stop trying to compare them. I love both of them, so I would definitely like to collab with Cardi too.”

In more Rihanna-related news, the 31-year-old singer is in the process of working on her ninth studio album, which is slated to be a reggae album. More recently, she registered a new song “Private Loving.” The song was written by the Bad Gal herself and dancehall artist, Demarco. There’s no word yet on whether or not the track will be featured on R9, which is the name Rihanna is leaning towards for her upcoming project.

“So far it’s just been R9, thanks to the Navy,” Rihanna stated. “I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this ‘R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?’ How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?”
