Naturally, after the release of Travis Scott’s Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly, fans began questioning who should’ve won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammys.

After fans stated that the New York rapper had beef with Scott, Cardi B clarified a few things. The Bronx native reiterated that she rightfully deserves the Grammy. In addition to that, Cardi explained that despite the opinion of some naysayers, she and Scott are in a good place.

“Ya some grown ass men talking about dragging cardi cause I won a award for a bomb ass album,” Cardi began. “Mind you I myself promoted astroworld on my page when it came out and have a good relationship wit trav while ya some small dick men talking bout draggginh a girl.”

Just yesterday (Aug. 28), Cardi went on a Twitter rant explaining the hardships she went through while working on her debut effort, Invasion of Privacy. With a cosign from the late Nipsey Hussle, Cardi believes that her Grammy was well-deserved.

“When I kept seeing the certifications of the songs going gold or platinum I was so excited cause my husband was out here asking everybody for a feature on my behalf so the ones that said yes thank you from the bottom of my heart cause TRUST ME ALOT OF ARTIST SAID NO! OR CHARGING 6 figures for a feature,” she wrote.

She continued, “So when I won a Grammy for it I didn’t have no words to say but when I went home I started reminiscing on what I went thru during that period I was like YEA B–H YOU DESERVE THIS S–T,” she said.

Regardless of Cardi stating her peace, fans have their own opinions on the situation. Quite frankly, the Best Rap Album argument is still taking place to this day. “Travis got robbed of a Grammy Astroworld was easily AOTY #LookMomICanFly,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “This Travis Netflix doc has reignited my anger that Cardi B won a Grammy over Astroworld. To this day I still haven’t played that Cardi B album,” another fan tweeted.
