Today (Aug. 27), is a good day for Meek Mill.

According to CBS Philadelphia, Meek has reached a deal that resulted in all other charges against him being dropped. Meek pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge, back in 2008, which allowed prosecutors to drop all other charges against him. Following the 2008 conviction, Meek spent eight months in prison and several years on probation.

“I’m extremely grateful that my long legal battle is finally behind me and I appreciate that it has sparked a much-needed discussion about probation reform and the inequalities that exist within our two Americas,” Meek said in a statement. “I have always told the truth—that as a teenager, who saw many around me die from senseless gun violence, I carried a gun for protection. I take responsibility for that and—in conjunction with my work on the REFORM Alliance—I’ll continue to use my platform to make communities safer and reform our criminal justice system.”

Earlier this month, Meek returned to court to face a new judge, Leon Tucker, regarding his gun conviction. Judge Tucker accepted the rapper’s guilty plea before stating: “I know this has been a long road for you and hopefully this will be the end of it.”

Now that the case is dismissed, Meek can focus on securing the bag. Tomorrow (Aug. 28), Meek is set to hit the road with Future for the Legendary Nights Tour. The 24-city trek will bring along the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, YG and Mustard. In addition to that, the tour will visit a variety of cities including Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix and more. The tour will wrap up on Oct. 5 in Las Vegas.
