La Flame continues to one-up himself.
Travis Scott is stacking up his accomplishments this summer by adding another release to his belt. First, he dropped a pair of Jordan 1 Retro sneakers, then he did a collaboration with Reese’s Puffs cereal. Not to be outdone, the rapper recently announced that he has something in the pipeline brewing with Netflix. Scott took to his Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 22) to reveal the release of a documentary titled Look Mom I Can Fly.
To go along with the announcement, the Houston rapper shared an image of nostalgic VHS tapes, which featured a photo of him yelling along with his name and the title of the film.
Scott later made an appearance at the Movie Exchange on 11200 Northwest Freeway in his hometown Houston for a surprise pop-up event. There, fans were able to get their hands on a limited-edition copy of the VHS before it is released on Netflix, Variety reports.
“GOT SOMETHING U MIGHT WANNA SEE IT. . !!!MEET ME HERE NETFLIX AND NO. CHILL,” he wrote on his Instagram post announcing Look Mom I Can Fly.
Shortly after he unveiled the social media post, fans began lining up at the location he provided. The pop-up store’s windows were covered with movie posters teasing Scott’s upcoming Netflix special. He also signed copies of the VHS tapes and gifted a VCR to one of his fans.
The VHS tape features a 60-second snippet of the documentary, including Scott as a kid, to his relationship with Kylie Jenner and even some of his performances. He also shares first-time moments as a father and his journey with his Catcus Jack record label.
Netflix has not yet made an official announcement regarding the rapper’s documentary, but according to Variety, it is due to arrive on Aug. 28.
