When it comes down to giving back to the community, Future and 21 Savage like to keep things original.
Yesterday (Aug. 21), Future, 21 Savage and rapper Big Bank Black rented out the entire water park at Six Flags White Water in Atlanta. According to TMZ, the three rappers dropped $300,000 to ensure that everyone had an epic “hood day.” The cash covered free food and drinks for everyone. Nonetheless, the day party was packed and included visits Love & Hip Hop’s Tommie Lee and reality star Shekinah Anderson.
Throughout his career, Future has admitted how much he loves the ATL. During an interview with SPIN, back in 2013, the “Throw Away” spitter revealed how much Atlanta influenced his musical style.
“It influenced me in so many ways ’cause I understand the roots of it, and how real Atlanta people don’t even get a chance to have a voice,” Future admitted when asked about growing up in ATL. “They hadn’t really heard from the real Atlanta, I’m a Grady baby, born and raised, but they don’t understand how a lot of Atlanta rappers that represent Atlanta, they really not born in Atlanta. OutKast was before us but the new generation, they never really told the street side. I’m telling the street side. Atlanta is so many sides.”
In a couple of days, Future and Meek Mill will hit the road for their Legendary Nights Tour. The 24-city trek will bring along the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, YG and Mustard. In addition to that, the tour will visit a variety of cities including Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix and more. The tour will wrap up on Oct. 5 in Las Vegas.
