This is not a drill. Ciara has makeup and skincare products in the works.

While speaking on a panel at Beautycon L.A., the singer revealed that she is cooking up her own collection. “The beauty space is inevitable for me,” she began. “It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to do something in the beauty space, and there are lots of cool things that I’ve been cooking up and working on, and I can’t wait until the time is here to share it with the world.”

The “Level Up” singer explained that she is taking time with the collection because she wants it to be “thoughtful.” Although there are some people who believe that makeup encourages insecurities, Ciara advocates the importance of self-love. The mother-of-two recalled a time where she thought she needed makeup to enhance her beauty. As time went on, Ciara grew to appreciate a natural face as well.

“I think it’s the idea of you wear the makeup, the makeup doesn’t wear you. And I had to really grasp that idea. I kind of figured it out a little bit later in life because I love getting glammed up and I liked who I was with the makeup on. But that’s not realistic. I thought, ‘I need to start feeling good about who I am before any brush is painted on my face.’”

Quite frankly, Ciara is on a roll. Recently, Cici became the Creative Director of Nike and Jordan’s kids fall apparel collection. “I am so proud to share that I am the Creative Director of the Nike and Jordan Kids fall apparel collections exclusively at @[email protected]! Mommy’s and Daddy’s line up! Get your babies fresh!” she wrote on social media.

Congrats to Ciara on her latest business venture. Will you guys be buying her makeup and skincare products once it releases?
