As fans unveil the layers of Rick Ross‘ Port of Miami 2 album, they are noticing lyrics worth mentioning. On Ross’ thirteenth track, “Vegas Residency,” fans believe that the rapper took a jab at Kanye West.

On the track, Ross mentions both Kanye West and President Donald Trump.

“Yo, watchin’ Kanye interview, feel like I wanna cry,” Ross raps. “For every innocent brother charged with a homicide/Went from battle raps to now we wearin’ M.A.G.A. hats/Dade County, nigga, mansions up in Tamarac/Never golfin’ with the Trumps and I give you my word.”

During a recent interview, Ross explains that he was not dissing West. Ross stated that he was simply spitting what he was seeing in the media. “It was nothing personal,” he said. “It wasn’t in a disrespectful way. It wasn’t a diss. It wasn’t none of that. It was just facts, me sitting up and I’m seeing, ‘Okay, I see what’s going on, I see the temperature. I see Kanye standing next to Donald Trump, okay. It’s just something I got to address.”

This isn’t the first time that Ross had to explain one of his tracks on his latest LP. On the final version of “Maybach Music VI,” Ross teams up with John Legend and Lil Wayne. Originally, the track was supposed to feature a verse from Pusha-T, but Ross ultimately decided to make a judgment call.

“What’s so dope about it is that both verses were cleared from both parties,” Ross begins. “But like I said, it was more about the bigger picture, is this gonna move them two getting together and closer. I’ma take the charge for that. I didn’t feel like it was the time for that. I got the record done. I got Wayne verse first, I got Push verse. I wanted to bring them together either way or at least spark that conversation.”
