With Nipsey Hussle’s birthday approaching, many fans want to celebrate the late rapper. According to a new report from TMZ, however, Hussle’s family has plans of honoring The Victory Lap spitter’s birthday in private.

The media outlet reports that the family is still hurting from the death of Neighborhood Nip. Hussle’s family has turned down proposals regarding a public birthday bash in Los Angeles. Regardless of the family’s decision, law enforcement plans to be on high alert for this Thursday. Police are aware of Nip’s impact and expect thousands to show up to The Marathon Clothing Store to honor him.

Speaking on The Marathon Clothing Store, Lauren London issued a press release on her Instagram that a gate will be in front of the building. A Nipsey Hussle Tower is in the process of being built, which is aimed to “commemorate and honor the life” of the slain rapper.

“As a notice to the public, we’re putting up a gate on Thursday, August 1st, 2019, to enclose the plaza at 3420 W. Slauson Ave. to start the early development stages of the forthcoming Nipsey Hussle Tower to commemorate and honor the life and legacy of Nipsey,” reads the message that London shared on Instagram. “The Marathon Clothing Store will remain closed, but you can shop online at TheMarathonClothing.com.”

Providing more details about the tower, the crew is building an eight-foot-high chain-link fence around the clothing store. Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson explained that the fence is part of a larger plan. “The fence is part of a larger plan that got hatched a long time ago so we see that as a continuation of that vision,” Harris-Dawson said.

Back in March, Hussle was fatally shot by Eric Holder in Los Angeles. Hussle would’ve celebrated his 34th birthday this year.
