Last month, Kodak Black dropped a freestyle hinting that he would hit City Girls’ Yung Miami in the stomach. The freestyle rubbed fans the wrong way considering Yung Miami is expecting a child with producer Southside.

“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808 baby,” Kodak Black raps “When I see her I’ma hit that b—h in her stomach/The way I keep my s–t too real, they say I’m f–king up my money.”

While on Twitter yesterday (Aug. 10), Kodak issued a public apology towards Miami and Southside. In his tweets, the “ZEZE” rapper wishes the best for the expecting couple.

“#YungMiami Gimmicks Are For Suckas, As I Sit Back I Realize How Petty That Move Was And As A Man It’s Certain Things We Refrain From,” he wrote. “@sizzle808MAFIA Ain’t No Smoke Wit You Bra F–k That Lame S–t Pray Y’all Have A Healthy Baby And Live A Prosperous Life. Besides B—h We Got More Hits To Make.”

More recently, Yung Miami was the target of a drive-by shooting in Miami. The 25-year-old rapper was reportedly leaving the studio when shots came from behind her red Mercedes G-Wagon. The investigation remains ongoing and no suspects have been reported at this time. Following the shooting, Miami has had a difficult time coping. “Keep looking at my pictures & all my mentions like it really could’ve been R.I.P,” Miami wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m really not okay!”

After catching wind of internet trolls poking fun at Miami’s tragic event, Cardi B came to her “Twerk” collaborator’s defense.

“What happened to her is a miracle! Her car got shot up a lot of times!” Cardi said. “And I see a lot of people in the comments joking about it, doing little jokes like, ‘I thought you kept a baby glock!’ B—h shut the f–k up! This s–t is different. She’s pregnant. A lot of you b—hes can not even see y’all f–king seat while y’all f–ing pregnant so f–king stop. Y’all love to joke around! Just remember those little comments that y’all be doing for clout, that s–t ain’t worth bad karma to you, b—h.”
