Last week, we reported that Kanye West was taking major steps to build prototype structures for a housing community in Calabasas. In a new report published by TMZ yesterday (Aug. 5), it looks like the Chicago rapper might’ve hit a bump in the road.

The news outlet reports that several neighbors have complained to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works in regards to the prototypes. Last month, one neighbor contacted the department and reported that there was construction on the property late at night. An inspector spoke with the site manager who stated that the domes were part of a production and were made to be “temporary.” After the department received another call from a neighbor last week, inspectors realized that the domes were not temporary.

Following the inspection, inspectors also noticed that the property violates the building code. Unfortunately for ‘Ye, he is on a tight time crunch. If Mr. West doesn’t obtain permits by Sept. 15, the structures will be torn down. Reportedly, the Life of Pablo rapper informed TMZ that the structures are temporary because they are prototypes.

On a lighter note, this weekend, West received a visit from his good friend, A$AP Rocky. Rocky visited ‘Ye’s weekly Sunday Service after being released from Swedish prison. In videos uploaded to Instagram, Rocky and West are seen chatting it up like two best buds. While incarcerated, West and his reality star wife, Kim Kardashian West, made efforts to help exonerate the New York spitter.

“Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @SecPompeo, Jared Kushner & everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends. Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated,” Kim wrote on Twitter.

Kanye West’s team has yet to comment on the latest story regarding the building of his prototypes.
