Cardi B takes safety seriously.

Last night (July 30), Bardi was set to hit take the stage at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Downtown Indianapolis. According to TMZ, one hour before the soldout show was slated to begin, the concert was postponed. Following the announcement, cops issued a press release informing concert-goers of a security threat.

“This evening, there was a scheduled concert at Bankers Life,” the press release reads. “We were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening’s concert – there is no immediate threat to public safety, this not an active incident. Ongoing investigation.”

Following the concert’s postponement, Cardi went on social media to express her sympathy. The New York rapper rest assured to her fans that she was more than prepared to take the stage. Cardi uploaded rehearsal footage, which showed that she was ready to give a performance worth watching. Ultimately, Cardi decided that safety comes first.

“Dear Indiana I just want to let you know I was in the venue today,” she wrote. “I rehearsed and started doing glam.Due to a security threat that is under investigation the show was canceled. My safety and your safety first .I want to thank the promoters we have already rescheduled the show. Im so sorry guys I never dealt with a situation like this before and I’m not taking any chances.I love you guys.”

Despite her legitimate reason, some of Cardi’s fans were still angry due to the last-minute change of events. “The entire city of Indianapolis s–t prob the entire state of Indiana is mad at @iamcardib for canceling 20 mins before performing,” one user wrote on Twitter. “My girl had front row seats !! I would’ve been pissed if I took off work to go and she canceled. Hell nah ! Let a lot of people down!”

Luckily, Indiana fans will not have to wait too long to see the “PRESS” rapper in action. The 26-year-old rapper’s performance has been rescheduled for Sept. 11. Check out Cardi B’s Instagram post where she apologizes to her Indiana fans below.
