A$AP Rocky's attacker reportedly has a criminal assault record

Earlier today (July 25), A$AP Rocky was charged with assault for his fight in Sweden. Now, it has come to light that his attacker reportedly has a criminal assault record.

Three years ago, Rocky’s alleged victim, Mustafa Jafari, was convicted of a striking a man in his forehead and beating the victim’s face. According to TMZ, the fight took place in Stockholm when Jafari was 16 years old. As a result, Jafari was sentenced to 30 hours of community service and ordered to pay the victim $500. In addition to that, Jafari was also convicted of two minor drug offenses, back in November of 2017 and May of 2018.

As for the fight that took place with Rocky and his crew, Jafari has been cleared of all charges. Prosecutors believe that he was acting in a manner of self-defense. Jafari was never taken into custody during the investigation although Rocky was arrested a day after the incident.

Following the news that Rocky has been charged with assault, many fans have expressed their disappointment. Rocky’s fans believe that the system is unjust.

“I actually believe that the Swedish Prosecutors are loving the media attention gained from #ASAPRocky’s case and are subconsciously using him as an example of how they really feel about black people. There are 2 sides to every story where are the others that were in the fight?” one user wrote.

“Donald #Trump made it worse by trying to go against the law. Now they will use #AsapRocky as a case study to demonstrate how fair their judicial processes are in Sweden, and how they don’t bend to corrupt dictators. ASAP is in trouble!” another user wrote.

Rocky’s trial is set to begin next week. If convicted, he could face up to two years in Swedish prison.
