Cardi B is the latest to weigh in on A$AP Rocky’s unfortunate assault case.

While speaking with TMZ, Cardi explained that she will not ban Sweden because of the love she’s received there. She did make it clear that she doesn’t agree with Rocky being detained.

“I’m not going to ban a country that showed me so much love, but they do need to free A$AP Rocky,” she said.

Elsewhere during their conversation, the cameraman asks Cardi about Quavo’s unfortunate experience with Swedish police. Cardi answers: I don’t even know what you’re talking about.”

Yesterday (July 17), Quavo explained to TMZ that he had an encounter with Swedish police that didn’t end pleasantly. “Sweden had us down on the curb,” Quavo explained when asked if he would boycott European shows. “Soon as we went to Sweden, they had me and my cameraman down on the curb and they were trying to lock us up too. They ended up letting us go and it is what it is but Sweden is real tough. I don’t know if I’d [cancel shows] but free my boy Rocky.”

The Album of the Year winner has been very vocal regarding some of today’s issues. In a video uploaded to Instagram, Bardi urges her fans to get more involved in the 2020 election.

“If I was to ask my next president a question, I would like to ask: What are we going to do about police brutality?” Cardi says. “It seems like it keeps on happening every single day and they are getting away with it. I would like to see a change. I would like to know if our next president even cares because it seems like the one we have right now doesn’t.”
