Nicki Minaj will give away $10,000 to the winner of the #MegatronChallenge

Nicki Minaj has found a new way of ensuring that the Barbz love her latest single, “Megatron.”

Over the weekend, Minaj announced the #MegatronChallenge. The rules are fairly simple. Contestants share videos of themselves dancing or rapping on the beat of Minaj’s latest track. Participants who choose to dance are welcomed to be a part of a group. However, raps have to be performed solo.

For this challenge, the Queen rapper is giving away money to the top three winners. First place will receive $10,000 and will have the opportunity to visit Minaj wherever she is. Second place will receive $5,000 and third place will receive $1,000. Submission entries end on July 27th.

Fans have begun to upload their best submissions to social media in hopes of winning. There are some fans, however, who have jokingly pointed out that they are not talented at dancing nor rapping.

“@NICKIMINAJ listen sis I can’t rap nor dance so I need a challenge I can participate in #MegatronChallange that 1k looking real good for school,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

In other Nicki related news, the 36-year-old rapper is a headlining act for Jeddah World Fest in Saudi Arabia. The fest will take place on July 18. She will join other notable performers including Liam Payne, Steve Aoki and R3 Wire & Varski. Since Saudi Arabia is known for being conservative, many have questioned whether or not Minaj’s performance should be a part of the lineup. Recently, the Human Rights Foundation has asked the New York rapper to cancel her upcoming performance.

“If you move forward with this performance for a festival sponsored by the Crown Prince, you will be in league with the people who respond to freedom of expression and thought with murder,” Human Rights Foundation CEO Thor Halvorssen said.
