Earlier this week, we reported that A$AP Rocky was arrested following a fight that happened in Sweden. As the case continues to unfold, it is now becoming a human rights issue.

As per TMZ, it’s standard practice for the U.S. Embassy to be alerted as soon as an American is arrested. However, that never happened for Rocky, who voluntarily went to the police for questioning on Tuesday night.

Cops are holding him on restricted visitation and will only allow him to speak with an appointed attorney. TMZ also explains that the situation has been taken up with the Swedish Embassy in Washington D.C. to avoid a breach of Rocky’s human rights.

The fight in Sweden broke out when a group of guys kept following Rocky and his crew. After being asked to leave, one of the men hit Rocky’s bodyguard with a pair of headphones, which the bodyguard smashes on the floor. A few minutes later, the fight broke out when the man kept hounding A$AP and groped a woman’s butt.

“SO A FEW DRUG ADDICTS ARE NOT MY FANS,” Rocky wrote on Instagram. “WE DONT KNOW THESE GUYS AND WE DIDNT WANT TROUBLE , THEY FOLLOWED US FOR 4 BLOCKS , AND THEY WERE SLAPPING GIRLS BUTTS WHO PASSED , GIVE ME A BREAK.”

Three other people were reportedly arrested, two on suspicion of aggravated assault and one for suspicion of assault. TMZ previously reported that Stockholm cops can hold Rocky for up to three days while prosecutors decide whether or not to charge him. If Rocky is charged, he’s looking at the possibility of up to six years in a Swedish prison.

In an effort to show support for their brother, A$AP Mob has taken it upon themselves to start a “Free Rocky” campaign. We will provide more details as the case continues to unfold.
