Lil Nas X is having an unforgettable year.

While he recently celebrated his breakout track, “Old Town Road,” officially becoming the most streamed song in 2019 so far, the wins are far from slowing down.

As reported on Monday (July 1), the 20-year-old’s track, which features Billy Ray Cyrus, remains at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the 13th week in a row.

The monumental run is not only exciting, but it is also a record-breaking feat. Per Billboard, the song has now officially broken the record for the longest reign ever for a hip-hop hit.

Previously, three songs held the record-setting top spot for twelve weeks straight: “See You Again,” by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth, in 2015; “Boom Boom Pow,” by The Black Eyed Peas (2009); and “Lose Yourself,” by Eminem (2002-03).

As reported by Billboard, the song is the 12th single in the Hot 100’s six-decade history to dominate for at least 12 weeks. It is the first since Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s Justin Beiber-featuring smash hit “Despacito,” which spent 16 weeks at No. 1 back in 2017.

Over the weekend, on the last day of LGBTQIA Pride Month, Lil Nas X made a vague reference to his sexual orientation on social media, seemingly coming out as gay.
