Nicki Minaj returns to waitressing at Red Lobster restaurant for "The Tonight Show"
Nicki returns to her old stomping grounds.
It’s never too late to return to your roots. In Nicki Minaj‘s case, it’s Red Lobster.
The 36-year-old rapper visited Red Lobster with none other than Jimmy Fallon. The Queen rapper and late-night host visited Red Lobster’s Times Square location where they devoured cheddar bay biscuits and drank Lobsteritas.
Elsewhere during their time together, Minaj revealed her biggest pet peeves while working there. She recalled being annoyed when customers asked for more biscuits. Minaj also revealed that she was fired for losing her temper after a customer didn’t tip and stole her pen. Following their hearty dinner, Minaj put back on her waitressing hat. She serviced people and surprised customers with their orders.
“I like dealing with people, but I don’t really like a lot of bulls–t, so maybe customer service wasn’t the best job for me,” she said during her interview with GQ back in 2017.
More recently, Minaj is focused on her upcoming album. Although she doesn’t have a concrete release date for the project, she knows she wants it to be perfect. Last week, Minaj debuted her latest single “Megatron” and released a matching visual for it. As an extra treat for her fans, she dropped a variety of merchandise that coincides with the “Megatron” theme.
As for her love life, it seems that wedding bells are in the near future. During her latest installment of Queen Radio, Minaj admitted that she has her marriage license. More recently, she spilled details with the Barbz that her beau, Kenneth Petty, is not obsessed with her fame and is indeed her soulmate.
“He won’t even say the word ‘Nicki,’” she wrote on Twitter. “He has called me onika since I was 15 so it’s hard to change that. I wouldn’t date anyone cuz I’m about to be married to my soulmate. But that was the problem, others r infatuated w/Nicki Minaj he DGAF about this industry & is very protective.”
