This is not a drill. Today (June 25), 50 Cent confirms that Power will not be ending after its sixth season.

In an Instagram post, Fif shared the news with loyal fans. However, he didn’t provide much reasoning for the backpedaling decision.

“I Changed my mind POWER is not going to be over after season 6. This s–t is to good #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac#starzplay,” he wrote as the caption.

Last month, the New York rapper confirmed that the show was ending and will return for its final season on Aug. 25. As a consolation to then sad fans, 50 stated that he was making four different spin-off shows.

“The last 5 seasons of ‘Power’ have been an incredible ride for me and all of our supportive fans,” Fif said previously in a statement. “We are far from over and I am excited to bring you more from the ‘Power’ brand. I am proud that I was able to put a lasting stamp on this chapter with my directorial debut in an episode that features one of the wildest scenes ever on the show.”

In other 50 Cent related news, he is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While expressing his excitement to social media, 50 explained that he finally made it.

“Man this is some cool s–t,” he wrote as the caption. “Mom, I think I made it. LOL #lecheminduroi#bransoncognac.”

50 joins Wendy Williams and Alicia Keys who will also receive a star next year. In a press release, Selection Committee Chair and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona expressed excitement for those receiving a star.

“This year’s choices were particularly unique,” Bona said in a press release. “We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood. Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories.”
