YG was handcuffed by authorities early Sunday during a traffic stop, according to TMZ.

While the “Go Loko” rapper was on his way to an appearance at 1 OAK in support of BET Awards weekend, he was pulled over by authorities for allegedly speeding and weaving in and out of traffic on the Sunset Strip. According to TMZ, the traffic stop took a turn when L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies claim YG became “upset and uncooperative and used profanities toward the deputies.” Deputies also claim that they handcuffed YG after he allegedly began “riling up the crowd” that gathered to watch the traffic stop go down.

In a video obtained by the celebrity news website, you can see YG handcuffed surrounded by cops as fans calmly stand to the back. Another video shows an officer telling a bystander to shut up after the two exchanged words. After performing a sobriety test with a field breathalyzer, it was determined the “Who Do You Love” MC was not under the influence. Police released the rapper and cited him for reckless driving.

Friday night, YG headlined night one of the BET Experience at the Staples Center. The L.A. native performed wearing a vest with Nipsey Hussle’s image on the back and “The Marathon Continues” embroidered on the front. Performing songs like “Twist My Fingaz,” “Who Do You Love?,” “My Hitta” and “Still Brazy,” YG paid homage to his close friend throughout his set, including proposing a toast for Hussle’s life and legacy. Kamaiyah and G-Eazy were his special guests as the trio performed “Do Not Disturb.”

Tonight, YG is expected to perform a tribute to Hussle alongside DJ Khaled and John Legend during the live broadcast of the BET Awards. The show starts at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT and can be streamed on the BET app.
