Drake is working harder than ever. In a series of posts uploaded to Instagram, Drizzy confirms that he’s working on his latest album.
“Album mode. A series of photos shot by @jamilgshere,” he wrote as his caption.
In one photograph, the 6 God is talking on the phone in what appears to be an office. In the background, there is a large portrait of Beyoncé. Nonetheless, this has caused fans to speculate whether or not Queen B will make an appearance on Champagne Papi’s forthcoming LP. If so, this wouldn’t be the first time that the two artists have joined forces. Back in 2013, the two collaborated on Beyoncé’s self-titled album, Beyoncé, for a track called “Mine.”
Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the first time that Drake has hinted at a new album. Two months ago, while performing in London on his Assassination Vacation Tour, Drake confirmed that he has something up his sleeve.
“But I think what I’m going to do after this is go home and I’ma make a new album so I can come back to London next year and so we can do this again,” Drake said to the crowd.
Although there aren’t many details regarding the Scorpion followup, this hasn’t stopped the 6 God from dropping new music in the meantime. Last week, Drake released two new singles “Omertà” and “Money in the Grave,” which features Rick Ross.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Earlier this week, Drake confirmed the return of his OVO Fest. During a victory parade held for the Toronto Raptors, Drizzy stated that his festival is making a comeback.
“I hope all these guys will join me this year because we bringing OVO Fest back, so I hope we can go crazy!” Drake said to the crowd.
The music festival, which began in 2010 and ended in 2017, featured past performers including Kanye West, JAY-Z, Eminem, The Weeknd, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and more.
