Kim Kardashian is continuing her criminal justice reform efforts with her latest announcement.

On Thursday (June 13), the 38-year-old reality star and mom of four spoke at the White House and revealed a partnership with Lyft that will help former inmates get rides to job interviews and to and from work. “Everyone wants the community to be safe, and the more opportunity we have and that they have and the support that we help give them, the safer everyone will be,” Kardashian said at the press conference.

“These people want to work. They want the best outcome,” she also told the crowd while thanking President Trump for “standing behind this issue.”

In June 2018, the beauty entrepreneur helped secure the release of Alice Marie Johnson after meeting with Trump at the White House. Johnson was a first-time nonviolent drug offender who had served 21 years behind bars — since 1996 —and was sentenced to life for the offense.

Since then, Kardashian has vowed to fight for criminal justice reform. As previously reported, she recently helped free 17 inmates in 90 days.

Earlier this year, Kardashian revealed her plans to become a lawyer. “I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society,” she told Vogue in April. The California native plans to take the California bar exam in 2022.

Last month, Kardashian and hubby Kanye West flew to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit a man she helped release from prison. While there, the couple pledged to cover all of the expenses necessary to remove the former inmates face tattoos.
