Congrats are in order for Yung Miami.

On Tuesday (June 11), the City Girls rapper announced she’s expecting her second child. The Florida native revealed the happy news in a lengthy Instagram post along with the trailer for the Point Blank Period Part 2 documentary.

The 25-year-old admitted she waited to share her pregnancy news with fans because she wanted to do so on her own terms. “I want this journey to be nothing but positive going forward and I wanted to share this with y’all,” she wrote. “No one knows what is best for me but GOD, and this was just his timing for me.”

“Everybody doubted me and said I shouldn’t be rapping and that I wouldn’t be able to hold the group down while JT was away,” Yung Miami (real name Caresha Romeka Brownlee) recalled. “[B]ut I did just that and then some.”

Now, she plans to prove her doubters wrong one more time with the birth of her second child. “I did everything they said I couldn’t because that’s just the type of woman I am and going to continue to be. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing and life changing, so I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the City Girls!”

The “Act Up” rapper shares a son with her ex Jai Wiggins and is currently dating 808 Mafia producer Southside. In her post, Yung Miami clarified that she has full support from fellow City Girls group member, JT, who is currently serving a prison sentence on charges related to identity theft. “[S]he is so supportive and can’t wait for our newest addition!” she wrote. “This is my personal life and it is what it is! PERIOD.”

By Tuesday evening, Yung Miami’s little sister seemingly confirmed the sex of the baby, telling one fan “it is” a girl. Keep reading to see the rapper’s pregnancy reveal, then see photos she shared of her baby bump after. Congrats again!
