Drake is putting aside his courtside antics after Kevin Durant suffered a major injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night (June 10).

The Golden State Warriors player was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after suffering a right Achilles injury, CBS Sports reports. Still, the Warriors went on to defeat Drake’s home team—the Toronto Raptors—in a 106-105 victory.

On Tuesday (June 11), Drake posted an Instagram photo of Durant along with a heartfelt caption acknowledging the injury. “Was tough for any of us to even enjoy that game tonight after seeing this transpire,” the rapper wrote. “Praying for our brother. That’s my only concern tonight is your well being. “The game needs me” is an understatement when it comes to 35. Please wish the best for this true warrior.”

Durant is expected to travel to New York to have his torn Achilles evaluated by doctors. The full extent of his injury remains unknown, yet GSW fans are hoping for the best.

“I’m hurting deep in the soul right now I can’t lie,” Durant wrote on his Instagram Stories following the nail-biting game. “But seeing my brother get this win was like taking a shot of tequila, I got new life. #dubs”

Durant’s mother, Wanda, also addressed her son’s injury on Tuesday morning. Wanda called out critics who felt the former Thunder player should have sat the game out until he was fully healed.

“For ALL of you who question my son as a Man, question his Heart, question his Integrity and question his LOVE for the game of basketball, you DON’T know him,” she tweeted. “He has a heart of a true Warrior! This too shall pass. God Bless you ALL,” she concluded.
