Lil Xan pulled out a gun on a man during an argument about Tupac.
The incident occurred at a 7/11 on Friday (June 7) after a man approached the “Betrayed” rapper over comments he made about Tupac while speaking with REVOLT last year. In the interview, Lil Xan (real name Nicholas Diego Leanos) called the late artist’s music “boring.” Apparently, his opinion didn’t sit well with the man in question.
Video footage obtained by TMZ shows the Tupac fan calling Lil Xan “a b—h” before the 22-year-old went off the rails. “What the f—k you want, bruh? Get the f—k out, n—a!” he shouted before brandishing what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun. The rapper was with his girlfriend, Annie Smith, at the time as he made his way back to his Mercedes G-Wagon. Smith defended Lil Xan’s actions, telling the man, “You started it, you dumb f—k.”
The California native appeared to flash his weapon once more when he got into his car and now the LAPD has opened up an investigation. The man reported the altercation and detectives have watched the footage, TMZ reports.
Shortly after the scary encounter, Lil Xan took to Instagram claiming self-defense. “The media is gonna try and twist what just happened at a gas station,” he wrote, adding, “I was about to be attacked and resorted to having to use self-defense.”
He went on to say, “F—k all you old head ass b—hes still talking bout that 2pac s—t live your own life and stop picking on a kid.” Keep reading to watch the incident as it unfolded ahead then see the REVOLT TV interview that started it all here.
