Fans of Lil Uzi Vert have been on increasingly high alert for nearly a year now.

As the anticipation for his sophomore album, which was first announced in July 2018, continues to grow, the Philadelphia rapper himself may have added even more fuel to the fire.

On Tuesday (June 4), a fan uploaded a video of his interaction with Lil Uzi to Reddit during which the beloved artist seemingly sets the record straight when it comes to a release date. After the fan asks Uzi when the new album is dropping, the rapper simply holds up his fingers to the camera in response.

“Two weeks,” he says, giving what has arguably been the most direct answer to such a question yet.

Last month, during the 2019 Rolling Loud Miami festival, Lil Uzi touched on the subject, sharing with the crowd that his project is finally complete.

“I ain’t gonna lie, the other night, I finished the last song to the album,” Uzi shared with the Rolling Loud crowd on May 12. “Are you ready for my album?!”

The album, assumed to be called Eternal Atake, will double as his second on Atlantic and his first since 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2.

Recently, Lil Uzi Vert dropped two singles, “That’s a Rack” and “Sanguine Paradise,” as well as lent his talents for a guest verse on Gunna’s “Valentino” and on Yung Nudy’s “Extendo.” Out of Lil Uzi’s latest contributions, it remains unclear if either of his two loose singles will appear on his upcoming album or not.

Take a look at Lil Uzi Vert appearing to confirm that his next album will be out in two weeks.
