Rihanna is reportedly the richest female musician in the world

  /  06.04.2019

Rihanna has spent her career consistently breaking boundaries and remaining as authentically herself as possible. While her artistry and expertise weave between the music and fashion industries, her entrepreneurial spirit and business savvy has played a direct role in her latest financial accolade.

As revealed during a profile in Forbes published on Tuesday (June 4), the Barbadian singer has officially become the richest female musician in the world at only 31 years old.

According to Forbes, Rihanna’s net worth has skyrocketed to around $600 million, a number that ranks her above her female peers such as Madonna ($570 million), Celine Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé ($400 million).

Reports of Rihanna’s ascending fortune, which arrives after news broke that JAY-Z is now the first hip hop billionaire, showcase how her growing wealth is credited to her recent strategic moves to partner with French luxury conglomerate LVMH.

The singer first partnered with the company in Sept. 2017 for the exclusive launch of Fenty Beauty in LVHM-owned Sephora stores. Last month, Rihanna announced she is launching her own luxury fashion house, Fenty, under the LVMH umbrella and is the first woman of color to do so.

According to Forbes, after just 15 months in business, Fenty Beauty has racked up $570 million in sales. It is also estimated that the company is worth more than $3 billion, with Forbes estimating that LVMH owns an estimated 50% of it.

In addition to her success in music and beauty, Rihanna also co-owns the Savage x Fenty lingerie line with Los Angeles-based online fashion retailer, TechStyle Fashion Group. With reports that she has also filed a trademark for Fenty Skin and is working on a skincare line, it’s clear that RiRi is far from slowing down. And, much to the delight of fans, she even has new music in store, too.
