Puma will continue its Nipsey Hussle collaboration
Puma also announced they have charity activations that we’ll do to support what Hussle was doing in Crenshaw.
Before his untimely death in March, Nipsey Hussle teamed up with Puma for a collection scheduled to debut this fall. Despite Hussle’s death, Puma plans to push forward with the collaboration to keep his legacy alive.
During a recent Wall Street Journal panel with G-Eazy, Puma’s global director of brand and marketing, Adam Petrick, explained how they are working with Nipsey’s estate to continue the collaboration.
“Working with him to help build the brand and to support some of the activations that he was doing in L.A. was great. We had a lot of things that were coming, and hopefully a lot of things we will still do with his estate,” Petrick said. “We’re going to continue to release some product that we’ve created with him. We’ve also got some charity activations that we’ll do to support what he was doing in Crenshaw, and trying to continue the work that he was doing through his foundation.”
The marathon has continued for Nipsey inside the U.S. Capitol where members of the Congressional Black Caucus met with T.I., Charlamagne tha God and Los Angeles City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson to discuss the economic state of black America and how they can work together to fight gentrification in historically black neighborhoods across the country.
According to the L.A. Times, Hussle’s name was repeatedly brought up throughout the meeting.
