Nipsey Hussle’s alleged shooter, Eric Holder, allegedly went on a rampage moments before the tragic incident which left the beloved rapper dead on March 31.
On Tuesday (May 21), TMZ revealed documents submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office by two women who claim the 29-year-old murder suspect pistol-whipped his neighbor earlier that day. According to the witnesses, Holder was upset because he believed their friend sold him marijuana laced with other drugs.
The women recalled the story their friend shared with them after learning Holder was the suspected killer of Hussle. An hour before Hussle was murdered, Holder allegedly visited his neighbor to express his laced weed suspicions in the hallway of their apartment building. At some point, Holder became “very excited and very agitated,” the women stated. Things escalated when the neighbor attempted to leave and Holder reportedly struck him in the back of the head with a pistol.
The female witnesses, who did not see the incident but learned of it immediately after, acknowledge that Holder did not beat their friend unconscious but did hit him hard enough to knock him on to the ground. According to the statements submitted, the neighbor described the pistol as a “big silver gun” and “semi-automatic.”
Although he was able to escape into his apartment safely, he reportedly told them Holder was “shaking and looked very nervous” before he fled the scene.
The alleged incident occurred at 2 pm local time, just one hour before Hussle and two other people were shot in front of his Marathon clothing store that afternoon. Hussle later died from “gunshot wounds [to] the head and torso,” his death certificate revealed.
Holder’s neighbor has admitted to selling him $10 worth of weed but insists it was not laced, to his knowledge. The female witnesses claim he was too afraid to come forward because of Holder’s ties to gangs and due to the fact that he sold him the marijuana in the first place.
Holder has been charged with Hussle’s murder and is currently being held on $5 million bail. Earlier this month, Holder’s lawyer, Chris Darden, who rose to fame during the O.J. Simpson murder trial during the mid-1990s, quit the case after receiving numerous death threats. No word yet on if Holder will raise the alleged lace weed aspect as a part of his legal defense.
