It is not unheard of for items that belonged to late hip hop veterans, such as Tupac or the Notorious B.I.G., to go on sale for astronomical prices. However, most recently, a prized possession formerly belonging to a living legend has now entered the mix as well.
As reported by TMZ, the Moments in Time auction company has got its hands on a coveted piece of memorabilia that will certainly pique the interest of the most devout Drake fans.
The auction company is now officially selling off a notebook that belonged to the 6 God around the year 2000, when he would have been 13 or 14. As exemplified by the worn pages in the blue spiral notebook, Drake’s interest in music was ignited in him early on, even though it’s safe to say his lyrical refinement came with age.
The notebook features plenty of handwritten lyrics, including to a song called “Smell P—y,” which doubles as a hilarious diss track. The notebook, which was recently discovered in a dumpster outside of his grandfather’s furniture factory, also reveals a list of Lacoste items he was hoping to save up for and purchase when his bank account would allow.
The notebook, which dates back to the year prior to “Degrassi” airing and Drake eventually landing his breakout acting role in the famed teen drama series, is listed for sale at $35,000.
In related news, Rihanna, who has frequently collaborated with the Toronto artist throughout her career, recently spoke about how Drizzy won’t be featured on her upcoming album, putting such rumors to bed. The pair has been linked for a decade now, spending majority of that time fending off, as well as leaning into, speculation they were romantically involved. Meanwhile, Drake has also confirmed he has a new solo project in the works.
