Right before Mother’s Day Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West welcomed their fourth child, a boy, via surrogate. After a week of speculation, Kardashian West revealed the name of her youngest child on social media.
Kim shared the first photo of the newborn and revealed his name in the form of a screenshot of a text conversation with her husband, Kanye.
“Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child,” Kanye said in a text to Kim. “We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.” She captioned the photo “Psalm West,” revealing the week-old baby’s name.
Psalm joins big brother Saint, 2, big sister North, 5, and big sister Chicago, 1, who looks just like her new brother, according to mom. “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” she tweeted.
In between working on a new album and welcoming another child, Kanye took the time to speak with David Letterman for his Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman.”
In the trailer for the upcoming season two, Letterman and West discuss the invention of zippers, Velcro and the rapper’s bipolar disorder. “When you’re bipolar, you have a potential to ramp up, and it could take you to a point where you start acting erratic, as TMZ would put it,” West said.
Letterman’s show might not be West’s only small screen appearance this year. Kanye is a huge fan of the Adult Swim cartoon “Rick & Morty,” and the creators of the show Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland spoke about a possible Yeezy appearance on the show during Warner Media’s upfronts presentation on Wednesday (May 15).
“We fucking love Kanye, man,” Roiland said. “[He’s] a kindred spirit, genius, visionary. If that guy had the support to do all the ideas he has in his head, it would be fucking Elon Musk 2.0.”
The duo said West is welcomed anytime for his own episode. “I’m giving him an episode, I’m making it official,” Harmon said. “We have 70! He can have one. Kanye, you can have an episode.”
