Brooklyn MC, Kota the Friend, releases his long-awaited debut album, FOTO. After turning down 3 major label deals, Kota the Friend has delivered his self-produced project independently via FLTBYS. You’ll find him confronting issues such as insecurities, fears, systematic racism and sexism, but also celebrating life, self-love, family, friends, hard times and his biggest inspiration; his son Kota. Speaking more on the 19-track offering, he states: “During the interludes the matriarchs of my family are telling the stories, showing the essential role that women have. It was important for me to include that.
