Over the years, 50 Cent has shown his adaptability and resistance is unparalleled. So much so, that entering the realm of politics doesn’t even seem that far-fetched.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (May 14), the veteran rapper and entertainment executive trolled his fans with the proposition of him running for president in the 2020 election. Naturally, his campaign promises were especially on brand.
“All debts will be paid by Monday, no more loans,” he captioned a mock campaign flyer. “And no your not gonna see my taxes LOL.”
In true form to 50 Cent’s reputation as someone who takes his business–and specifically his money–very seriously, it doesn’t come as a surprise that his campaign would be financially motivated. The campaign poster also included a fitting slogan, “NO ONE WILL DARE OWE AMERICA AGAIN!… FOFTY FOR PRESIDENT.”
In recent weeks, Fif has been on a mission to settle all unpaid debts, regardless of the sum or time frame in which the money was borrowed. He has turned to social media to add an extra trolling component to his quest, turning into the inside joke persona of “Fofty,” the debt collector. His feuds, most of which have been settled, have been with Jackie Long, Randall Emmett and Teairra Mari, to name a few.
Most recently, during a trip to Chicago, a fan went up to the music mogul to own up to stealing the rapper’s CD when he was in the fifth grade. 50 Cent found the whole interaction hilarious, showing off his latest settled debt of a smooth $20.
While 50 Cent is one of the best at cracking jokes online and being known for his relentless trolling, it’s safe to say that he’d be the only candidate versed and petty enough to take on the current administration.
