YoungBoy Never Broke Again (also known as NBA YoungBoy) was involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend (May 12) that left one person dead and two people injured.

At the time, there were unconfirmed reports that Young Boy’s girlfriend, Kaylyn Marie Long, was wounded in the melee. Now, a new video obtained by TMZ appears to show the rapper helping Long after she was struck by a bullet in the ambush.

A 5-year-old child was grazed and 43-year-old Mohamad Jradi, who was sitting in his vehicle at the time, was killed at the scene. Jradi reportedly worked at the Trump Beach Resort near Miami where Young Boy was staying ahead of his scheduled performance at the annual Rolling Loud music festival. According to eyewitnesses, Young Boy (real name Kentrell Gaulden) appeared to be the intended target. He was unharmed in the incident.

On Tuesday (May 14), the Associated Press confirmed no one from Young Boy’s entourage would be charged in the shooting. A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department told the outlet members of his party returned fire in self-defense. Young Boy’s girlfriend was reportedly rushed to the hospital for her injuries. Her current condition remains unknown at press time.

Despite all of the chaos, the “Outside Today” rapper still made it on stage for his Rolling Loud performance at Hard Rock Stadium. Extra precautions were put in place following the shooting, including beefed up security and bringing in “an extra SWAT team,” TMZ reports.

Although he is not being charged, law enforcement reportedly still wants to question him. Keep reading to see the footage of Young Boy jumping into action to help save his girlfriend after she was shot ahead.
