Lil Nas X’s reign just won’t let up.

The 20-year-old rapper has managed to fend off Taylor Swift to keep the No. 1 position on Billboard with his debut single, “Old Town Road.” This marks the fifth consecutive week the song has topped the Hot 100 chart, including the remix with country legend Billy Ray Cyrus.

Taylor Swift’s new single, “Me!” featuring Brendon Urie, settled for the No. 2 position, earning 193,000 downloads and strong airplay. The song also made the biggest jump in Billboard history moving 96 spots from its debut position at No. 98.

Over the past week, “Old Town Road” garnered 104 million streams, Billboard reports. The milestone set a new record, according to Chart Data, becoming the first song in history to earn over 100 million U.S. streams in four different weeks. Last month, the Atlanta native broke Drake’s first-week streaming record when he tracked 143 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 11. Drizzy’s Summer-hit, “In My Feelings,” drew 116.2 million streams in one week in June 2018.

Speaking of breaking records, “Old Town Road” has officially been certified the shortest single to chart at the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1965. The original song clocks in at one minute, 53 seconds. A video for the track has been shot and is expected to be released soon.

Lil Nas X (real name Montero Lamar Hill) recently addressed his stage name, which he “might change,” but says it was meant as a tribute to Nas. “Nas is a legend and I never meant any disrespect by my stage name,” he explained in a tweet. No word yet on what other monikers he’s considering — if at all — but for now, he has a lot to celebrate with the success of his single.
