A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Offset following an altercation with a fan in Target last week.
18-year-old Junior Gibbons reportedly filed a police report in Sandy Springs, Georgia on Friday (April 26) after the Migos rapper smacked his $800 iPhone out of his hand on Monday (April 23). TMZ uploaded video footage of the encounter which showed Gibbons walking over to Offset after recognizing him in the store. “What up, Offset?” Gibbons asked before the Atlanta native knocked his cellphone out of view.
According to the site, Junior also claimed Offset told him to “get that f—kin’ phone out of my face” before leaving. Now, he wants the “Clout” rapper to pay up and replace the damaged phone.
On Thursday (May 2), TMZ released a photo of the alleged iPhone which showed the front screen shattered. The arrest warrant comes after reports that Offset is facing a felony gun charge stemming from his July 2018 arrest. In that case, Offset’s lawyer has maintained his client’s innocence and says the rapper was a victim of racial profiling.
In related news, Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) recently reunited with his father after 23 years. “DREAMS DO COME TRUE HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM,” he captioned an emotional Instagram video. “THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!”
Meanwhile, Offset — nor Cardi B — has responded to the recently issued arrest warrant. Police reportedly believe his actions were intentional.
