Early Wednesday morning (May 1), Raz B was arrested for domestic assault by strangulation and is currently being held without bail.

As reported by TMZ, the B2K singer and his girlfriend got into an argument “that turned physical.” While sources close to the singer claim that he was defending himself, authorities booked him at the Hennepin County Jail in downtown Minneapolis after a family member reportedly called the police upon learning of the altercation.

Police reportedly took pictures of his girlfriend’s alleged injuries as evidence and since the incident took place in a parking lot area, there may be surveillance footage as well.

Raz B, who arrived in town for a scheduled B2K reunion concert set for Wednesday night at the Target Center, reportedly insists that he did not “purposely strike or choke her.”

At the time of this report, he remains incarcerated and his involvement in the tour’s remaining dates remains in jeopardy.

After initially announcing he was quitting The Millenium Tour, Raz B decided to continue on with the highly anticipated run of reunion shows alongside fellow bandmates, Omarion, Lil Fizz and J Boog. While it is not looking so good that the group will be able to perform as planned tonight, the multi-platinum artists have several more stops to go left on their reunion tour before it wraps this month.

Raz B previously stated he was quitting the tour due to feeling unappreciated and concerned for his safety due to not feeling comfortable around Chris Stokes. He has accused the group’s former manager and his cousin of sexual abuse for years, an allegation Stokes has repeatedly denied.

Raz B has even stated that he would like to tell his side of the story, suggesting that Lifetime prepares a “Surviving Chris Stokes” documentary similar to the series the channel debuted in January centering on R. Kelly.

More on Raz B’s criminal case as it continues to develop.
