Ciara and Russell Wilson are expanding their business empire.

On Monday (April 29), the longtime couple announced the launch of their production company, Why Not You. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company will focus on film, TV, and digital content that will include “inspiring and aspiring narratives and human interest stories.”

In a joint statement to the site, Wilson and Ciara elaborated, saying, “While we work in different fields in our day-to-day, we are excited to come together to collaborate and create stories that we hope will touch people’s lives. We are both storytellers at heart and we want to be able to share stories that uplift people and inspire others to create positive change. That’s ultimately what we want this company to represent.”

The announcement comes just weeks after Wilson signed a $140 million extension contract with the Seattle Seahawks and became the highest paid NFL player. Part of his contract included $65 million guaranteed as a signing bonus and a no-trade clause, ESPN reports.

Meanwhile, Ciara has been making moves in her own right lately. The R&B singer recently released her new single, “Thinkin Bout You,” and launched her own company and music label, Beauty Marks Entertainment (BME). “No dream is truly too big! I’m excited for the journey ahead,” the 33-year-old said while announcing the news on Instagram.

Wilson and Ciara began dating in April 2015 and tied the knot at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England in July 2016. The two have a 2-year-old daughter together named Sienna Princess Wilson. Wilson is also the proud step-dad of Ciara’s 5-year-old son, Future Jr., who she shares with rapper/singer Future.

In addition to their new production company, the duo also has a joint foundation of the same name centered around youth empowerment. Wilson is also the Chief Executive Officer of the brand management, creative content, and production company known as West2East Empire (W2E).
