B2K's The Millennium Tour generates career-high $5 million in revenue

Nostalgia has generated into big bucks for the B2K-led Millennium Tour, according to a new report by Billboard.

The Millennium Tour features Mario, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, Pretty Ricky, Bobby V and Lloyd on the bill along with the heartthrob boy band and has brought in $5 million (56,542 tickets sold) between April 4-13.

The shows in Inglewood, CA, Atlanta, GA, Oakland, Ca have brought in $2.2 million, $1.7 million, $1.2 million for a total of $5.1 million. With 11 dates left on tour, B2K will surpass the $4.2 million made after their 22-date Scream III tour in 2003.

“& that was just in 3 dates,” Omarion wrote in an Instagram caption. “Thank you to all the fans. It’s all you!!”

Back in January, B2K member J Boog teased a possible follow up to the group’s highly successful coming of age dance film You Got Served.

“Y’all ain’t ready,” Boog wrote in the caption of a short trailer that featured Timbaland and Magoo’s “Drop,” with a voiceover of Steve Harvey (who played Mr. Rad in the first film) saying, “The money in the hat goes to…” as the title flashes across the screen.

A sequel to You Got Served was released in 2011, six years after the original was released in theaters. However, You Got Served: Beat the World didn’t feature any original castmates including Marques Houston.

While the tour has had its ups and downs, You Got Served 2 will not include Omarion. The singer tweeted that he wasn’t returning back in January.

“I love seeing & feeling the excitement in anticipation over The Millennium Tour & Dance Battle,” he said. “However, I want to make it clear that the You Got Served Sequel is not affiliated with myself, the tour or our Dance Battle Challenge. Keep that energy up!! Aye.”
