JAY-Z tributes Nipsey Hussle, performs with Nas and Cam'ron at B-Side 2 Concert

With a larger than life Roc-A-Fella chain hanging from the ceiling, JAY-Z reopen New York City’s legendary Webster Hall in a major way with his B-Side 2 show.

Webster Hall’s first show in nearly two years was aimed towards the day one Hov fans as he performed classic tracks like “Lucifer,” from The Black Album, “Come and Get Me” from Vol 3… Life and Times of S. Carter and “I Love the Dough” from The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death.

Concert goers went into a frenzy when Nas joined Jigga on stage to perform “Success.” The Queensbridge rapper then performed “The World is Yours” from his debut Illmatic which seamlessly blended into JAY-Z’s “Dead Presidents.” Nas also performed “N.Y. State of Mind.”

In what will probably be one of the most discussed moments of the concert, Hov and Cam’ron publicly squashed their feud of over 15 years when the two performed “Welcome to New York City” from Cam’s Roc-A-Fella debut, Come Home With Me. Jim Jones, who signed a management deal with Roc Nation in 2017, also made an appearance and performed the Dipset classic “I Really Mean It” with Killa Cam.

Hov also used the show to pay tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle in a freestyle where he encouraged everyone to invest in their neighborhoods and buy back the block.

“Gentrify your own hood before these people do it/ Claim eminent domain and have your people move in/ That’s a small glimpse into what Nipsey was doing/ For anybody still confused as to what he was doing.”

Later in the freestyle Hov rapped, “I be going to sleep hoping Nip visits me/ That young king had a lot of jewels to split with me,” before performing “Some How Some Way” from The Blueprint 2: The Gift and The Curse.
