Soulja Boy is back behind bars after a judge ruled he violated his probation on Thursday (April 11).

The “Crank That” rapper was in court for a hearing stemming from his arrest last month. In that incident, officers responded to a report that the 28-year-old rapper was holding his ex-girlfriend captive and allegedly discovered ammo and firearms at his California home. As TMZ notes, the discovery is considered a direct violation of Soulja Boy’s probation because he was also arrested on gun charges in January 2014.

In addition to his alleged possession of ammo and firearms, the judge found Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) in violation for failing to complete his court-ordered community service and conspiring to falsify evidence that he had done so.

Following his release from jail in March, Soulja Boy took to Instagram Live to update fans on his ordeal. “They try to lock me up and hate on me. Y’all got me f—ked up,” he said. “This s—t ain’t gonna stop … I’m not going out like 6ix9ine. Bro, you got me f—ked up! You got me f—ked up,” he concluded with a laugh.

Now it appears the situation may be more serious than Big Drako initially thought. According to his arrest records, Soulja Boy is being held without bail in Van Nuys jail. He will remain in custody until his next hearing scheduled for April 30, TMZ reports.

Soulja Boy made headlines earlier this year with his claims that he had “the biggest come back of 2018.” During a now-viral interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” the rapper told hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne tha God, and Angela Ye he felt he deserved more credit for revolutionizing today’s hip hop culture.

“They laughed at me. They said I killed hip-hop and now they doing exactly like I did and I’m being shunned upon,” he said during the candid radio chat. “I’m the reason y’all doing this. I’m the reason why all these artists have social media. Y’all should thank me. Every artist in the game, all y’all record labels, y’all owe me five percent, bro. Y’all gon’ respect it.”

Before his arrest, Soulja Boy released new music from his mixtape, Fuego. Watch the video for “New Drip” ahead.
