Nipsey Hussle’s untimely passing has been felt all across the music world and now his music is impacting the charts too.

On Wednesday (April 10), Billboard reported the late rapper posthumously debuted four songs on the Hot 100 singles chart. “Double Up,” “Last Time That I Checc’d,” and “Dedication,” all songs from his Grammy-nominated album last year, made a splash on the charts at No. 65, No. 82, and No. 93, respectively.

Meanwhile, Hussle’s most recent single, “Racks in the Middle” featuring Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy, had the biggest debut at No. 44 with streaming up 508%, the site reports. According to Billboard, “Racks in the Middle” was streamed a whopping 16.5 million times in the U.S. in the wake of Hussle’s death.

Hussle’s Victory Lap album, which would become his first and last LP, re-entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 2 earlier this week. The record reportedly earned 66,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. and surpassed its original peak at No. 4 in March 2018. Four of his previously released mixtapes, Crenshaw, Slauson Boy 2, The Marathon, and Mailbox Money also made their Billboard Hot 200 debuts.

The recent success of Hussle’s music was to be expected. As previously reported, the Los Angeles native’s music saw a huge sales increase in the week of his passing. His album hit the No. 1 spot on both Amazon and iTunes shortly after the news broke that the 33-year-old had been gunned down outside of his clothing store in his hometown.

Today (April 11), Hussle’s life will be celebrated during a memorial service at the Staples Center. The event will be followed by a 25-mile procession around the city of Los Angeles. Thousands are expected to gather and pay their respects to the beloved rapper who made such a huge impact on the hip hop community.
