After landing a minor victory in his current federal racketeering case, it appears as though 6ix9ine’s good luck hasn’t run out just yet.

As reported by TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper could possibly be released from prison as early as Sept. 2019.

Such a feat could be possible if the remainder of the defendants implicated in the case plead guilty and accept a plea deal. If this turns out to be the case there will be no need for a trial.

According to 6ix9ine’s attorney, Dawn Florio, in the event that the other defendants agree to plea deals and a trial is therefore no longer necessary, they can then ask the judge to grant the 22-year-old time served. If the request is granted, the rapper would have already fulfilled his sentence under the conditions of his guilty plea agreement and therefore could see an immediate release.

As previously reported, three defendants, Jensel “Ish” Butler, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, have each pleaded guilty. There are still a couple of defendants who have not yet accepted deals.

According to Florio, only one of the remaining defendants has filed a motion to dismiss the charges. Due to this, it could mean the case could head to trial and alter the course of 6ix9ine’s hopes to get out of prison early.

The rapper, who has been incarcerated since November 2018, previously decided to change his mind and plead guilty. He also agreed to act as a cooperating witness, a move that has lost him a plethora of supporters, including Fat Joe, Meek Mill and Offset, among others, who have all come forward to condemn his choice to “snitch.”

Others, such as Boosie Badazz, believe that if the rapper is released from prison, he very well may be murdered as a result of his decision to distance himself from his prior gang affiliation.

At the time of this report, 6ix9ine’s case is scheduled to head to trial in September 2019. He is currently facing 47 years to life in prison.
