Diana Ross celebrated her 75th birthday on Tuesday (March 26) the only way she knows how: with style and grace, of course.
The legendary performer was surrounded family, including her daughter Tracee Ellis Ross, son Evan Ross, and her daughter-in-law Ashlee Simpson, to ring in her special day at club Warwick in Hollywood. The star-studded affair was also attended by her celebrity friends, most notably Beyoncé, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Robin Thicke, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kris Jenner.
REVOLT TV’s chairman Diddy was also in the house and performed his hit “Mo Money Mo Problems,” as shown below. The single, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1997 after the Notorious B.I.G.’s death, was fitting for the evening as it samples The Supremes singer’s 1980 song “I’m Coming Out.”
Diddy’s three daughters also performed on stage with Ross as her backup dancers as she belted out her 1965 hit “Stop! In the Name of Love” sans The Supremes. The proud father could barely contain his smile as he watched from the side of the stage before joining in on the fun. “One of the best days of my life!!! My three Queens sharing the stage with the legendary and the beautiful @dianaross,” he wrote on Instagram along with footage of the special moment. “Happy Birthday Queen.”
The night’s epic festivities didn’t stop there, though. When the crowd gathered around to sing “Happy Birthday” to Ross, none other than Beyoncé was called up to do the honors. Without missing a beat, Queen Bey graciously stepped up to the plate and delivered a “Flawless” rendition of the birthday jingle, as shown ahead.
Ross recently made headlines when she defended her late friend Michael Jackson following the fallout over HBO’s “Leaving Neverland” documentary. “I believe and trust that Michael Jackson was and is [a] magnificent incredible force to me and to many others,” she tweeted on Saturday morning (March 23). “STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE,” she added while clarifying that she felt compelled to speak out because it was “on [her] heart.”
