Blueface’s “Thotiana” is one of the hottest songs in the country right now. Currently, the track sits at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On Monday (March 18), XXL sat down with producer Scum Beatz who revealed a sequel to the catchy tune is expected to drop shortly. “Me and [Blueface] haven’t really sat down and cooked something up together besides the ‘Thotiana Part 2’ beat,” he told the outlet.

According to Beatz, “Thotiana Part 2” will keep the same beat but with a different drum pattern. “I added a couple of other sounds,” he teased. More importantly, does this mean we can expect a new “bust down” dance as well? Asking for a friend.

The YG-assisted single made a splash on airwaves and across social media when it debuted earlier this year. Then came the many remixes. In February, Nicki Minaj put her own spin on the earworm with an unofficial remix, aptly titled “Bust Down Barbiana.” Cardi B followed up with the official “Thotiana Remix,” complete with a music video, shortly after. Soulja Boy, Desiigner, and Young M.A released their versions of the song as well.

On Tuesday (March 5), Billboard reported the Cash Money West rapper landed his first top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. If “Thotiana Part 2” is just as catchy as its predecessor, it’s safe to assume the follow-up will quickly race up the Billboard charts too. Unfortunately, all of Blueface’s recent achievements come on the heels of major legal woes.

In February, Blueface (real name Johnathan Porter) was arrested and later charged for felony gun possession. The 22-year-old was released on $35,000 bail. He has yet to address the incident, however, his manager has maintained the rising rap star’s innocence in the case.
