Although Dame Dash recently took initiative to apologize for some past tension and amicably settled a lawsuit with director Lee Daniels, it appears as though the music mogul still has some legal trouble to work through.

As reported, director Josh Webber is suing Dash for defamation, accusing the Roc-A-Fella co-founder of making slanderous comments on social media, including referring to him as a “pure culture vulture.”

According to court documents, Webber claims he lost a $6 million investment for a project that “specifically references the actions of Dash as the reason the contract was terminated.” He also claims he lost out on another opportunity that would have resulted in a $275,000 paycheck due to Dash’s comments.

As reported by The Blast, Webber is suing Dash for $7 million, an amount that is partially correlated from the amount of social media followers the entertainment executive has. After subtracting the alleged amount of money lost due to Dash’s comments, Webber believes he should be awarded an additional $565,000, which adds up to $1 per follower. In totally, the director is asking for a total of $6.84 million for himself and another $565,000 for his company, Muddy Water Pictures.

The former working relationship between Webber and Dash culminated into a lawsuit after the former made the accusation that the industry veteran would show up high on set and overall disrupt their workflow. Webber claims they dropped him from the project in 2018 and completed it without him despite Dash marketing the project as his own on social media.

Last month, a New York federal judge ordered a temporary injunction against Dash. At the time of this report, the lawsuit remains ongoing.
