After nearly 14 years, Lil Kim is ready to bless the world with a new album.

On Saturday (March 9), the Queen Bee announced the news of her highly anticipated LP, a follow up to 2005’s The Naked Truth. “It’s called Nine and there’s a lot of meaning behind that,” Kim revealed in an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex.

Her loyal fans, also know as “the beehive,” were quick to point out the significance of the new album title to Kim’s life and career. For instance, Kim’s 4-year-old daughter, Royal Reign, was born on June 9. The late Notorious B.I.G. died on March 9. This will also be Kim’s ninth project, including her four previous albums and mixtapes.

In addition to dishing on her album, Kim hinted at a Junior M.A.F.I.A. reunion during her chat with the radio legend. While teasing a “special event” for Biggie’s birthday in May, Kim said, “If we’re all going to come together as a family again, everybody has to feel like there’s a respect there.”

The 43-year-old continued, “What I would like to see happen in my perfect world is me, the whole Junior M.A.F.I.A., Un [Lance Rivera], Faith [Evans], Ma$e… If Puff would be willing to be a part of what we want to do, it would be amazing.”

In February, Kim released her new single “Go Awff.” The influential rapper performed the cocky track while walking the runway for The Blonds at New York Fashion Week. A video for the song is expected to drop soon.

Fans reacted to the album news with excitement, as expected. It appears the Queen Bee is gearing up to give her fans more than just new music though. Last month, Kim was spotted filming a possible TV show or movie for VH1 in Barbados with Mya and Chilli. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the “Whoa” emcee has up her sleeves this year. Hear her full interview with Funkmaster Flex ahead.
