With over a decade in the game and counting, Nipsey Hussle is far from slowing down when it comes to putting serious work in. A year after dropping his debut album, Victory Lap, the Grammy-nominated artist is back in studio mode.

During a broadcasted conversation on REAL 92.3 Los Angeles, the 33-year-old gave some insight into what fans can expect in the year ahead, announcing he’s already working on a new solo album, as well as has plans to drop a joint album with Meek Mill.

“We’ve been cutting ideas and just getting in. We got a couple records that’s going to go off for the summer. It’s not hard at all we just got to lock in and get the records done,” Nipsey shared. “We working right now as we speak. We on album time right now. Next thing we going to put out musically is an album.”

He then confirms the joint project with Meek will be due out sometime this summer. From there, Nipsey dives into his thoughts regarding the Philadelphia rapper’s social justice reform efforts and overall mindset since being released from jail last April after violating the terms of his probation.

“Wisdom. You be in the game for a while and you learn this shit and you figure out what works for you,” Nipsey explained, touching on Meek Mill’s growth as a person and artist. “I just think Meek’s elevated. He applied the game he got from being in the game for a while.”

Recently, Nipsey and his longtime girlfriend Lauren London opened up their relationship in a cover story for the March 2019 issue of GQ. During the conversation, they share how they first met, as well as how far they’ve both come navigating their careers and family life together.
