After changing his mind and deciding to plead guilty on federal racketeering charges, as well as cooperate with authorities, 6ix9ine continues to find himself at the center of conversation.

Following T-Pain’s recent comments about 6ix9ine, during which he says he would also snitch on others if he were in the Brooklyn rapper’s shoes, others such as Trouble, 50 Cent, Boosie BadAzz, Snoop Dogg and Fabolous weighed in with contrasting perspectives. During a recent interview with Real 92.3’s Big Boy TV, Offset also commented on the matter, offering up his own point of view.

During the conversation, which aired on Monday (March 4), the Migos rappers gave his opinion, sharing that 6ix9ine needs to take responsibility for his actions.

“My OGs use to tell me, you get in that water you better know how to swim,” Offset explained. “At the end of the day, he’s a grown man. There are rules and codes. You choose the streets and you go left on the streets, your safety is a problem now because you chose the streets. Just know what you’re doing.”

While he doesn’t comment specifically on 6ix9ine’s choice to work with federal authorities, he alludes to how the rapper’s decision will come with consequences.

Last month, it was reported that 6ix9ine told authorities about his involvement with the Nine Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, as well as gave insight into their criminal activity, in hopes to reduce his then-anticipated potential 32 years to life sentence.

“I’ve been arrested a lot of times, 13 or something like that,” Offset continued. “You got to take responsibility. You gotta take it in the chest. I blame me for all that happened to me. I can’t put the blame in other directions.”

Offset, who previously collaborated with 6ix9ine in the form of the “Gummo (Remix)” last year, also added that he feels 6ix9ine simply didn’t have the right people around him. The Migos rapper then goes on to shout on his “day ones” for keeping him grounded and on the right path.
